Beauty - What is the artist's philosophy beauty? - How does the audience perceive the work as beautiful? 4. Reality (a perception) - What is the artist's level of experience and does it related to the audience?

Artist as a moralist/critic/educator - Is the artist reacting to a moral/ethis issue? - Is he artist reacting to a social trend? 3. Artist as a dreamer/prophet -What doesn't exist in the material place as realized by an artist? 4. Artist as a recorder of time - Is the artist reflecting a sentiment or trend of that time? 5. Artist as an entertainer - How does the artwork entertain?

Types of Musical Presentations Symphony - a major work for an orchestra, including wind, string and percussion instruments Concerto - an instrumental work that highlights a soloist or group of soloists Sonata - a piece of classical music for a solo instrument or a small ensemble Opera - a dramatic work where music is a dominant part of the performance, with actors often singing rathter than reciting their lines
